Apple Strudel / Apple Roll
Ingredients:
o Pepperidge farm puff pastry sheets (1 box comes with 2 sheets containing 3 pieces each)
o For each piece you plan to make:
o 1.5 apples, diced
o ½ Cup sugar
o ½ Tbsp of cinnamon (or to your liking)
o ½ Tbsp flour
o Butter
o Cinnamon sugar
Directions:
1. Thaw out puff pastry sheets and cut along folds into thirds.
2. Take third and stretch and roll out on a floured surface to be about twice its original size.
3. Lightly brush a bit of butter along long edges of dough.
4. Mix together filling ingredients in a bowl.
5. Spread filling along 1 long edge and roll forward like a jellyroll.
6. Use a knife to cut a few vents in the roll (every few inches).
7. Add some pieces of butter to the top of the roll.
8. Sprinkle on cinnamon sugar to your liking.
9. Place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
10. Cut once cooled.
